Outreach/Witness Opportunities Beyond The Local Church

The Walk to Emmaus – The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders.  The 72 hour experience is designed to inspire, challenge, and equip local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.  The Upper Room of the United Methodist Church sponsors the Walk to Emmaus.

Kairos Prison Ministry – is staffed by members of the Emmaus community to incarcerated women and men.  The Kairos weekend brings the Walk to Emmaus experience to those who need to hear the liberating power of the Gospel and learn of the love of God through Christ Jesus.

Epiphany Ministry – also staffed by persons who have completed the Walk to Emmaus, Epiphany is the ministry to incarcerated youth.  Members take the Word of God and the love of God to youth in a weekend experience.
